The UTSA Roadrunners football program represents the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in the sport of American football. Coker, who had previously won a national championship as the head coach of the Miami Hurricanes, led UTSA for four seasons before being replaced by Frank Wilson. Wilson was hired after one season as the head coach at Louisiana State University (LSU). In his first season at UTSA, Wilson led the Roadrunners to their first bowl game and first bowl game win in program history. Wilson was then hired by the LSU Tigers after the 2016 season.
