Jeffrey Ernest Rosenstock (born September 7, 1982) is an American musician from Long Island, New York. He plays a variety of instruments, including the guitar and piano. He is the frontman of the ska punk band Bomb the Music Industry! and formerly of The Arrogant Sons of Bitches. He has released several solo albums, as well as being a member of the indie rock supergroup Kudrow. Rosenstock was born in Baldwin, Nassau County, New York on September 7, 1982. He grew up in Massapequa Park, New York and attended Plainedge High School. He is Jewish. After high school, Rosenstock attended SUNY Purchase, where he studied music composition. He played in various bands while at college, including The Arrogant Sons of Bitches, The World/Inferno Friendship Society, etc. Rosenstock began his musical journey by recording a solo song under the name Bomb the Music Industry, which would eventually turn into something much bigger. Bombs the music industry became known for their DIY punk principles and commitment to inclusivity, becoming "the Fugazi for the internet age of punk." Following the debut of Album Minus Band by Bomb the Music Industry, Rosenstock founded Quote Unquote Records, the first donation-based record label, which distributed all of its releases digitally through a pay what you want system.
