George Thorogood was born in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1950. He fell in love with blues and rock guitar when he was a teenager. He started George Thorogood & The Destroyers in 1974 after being inspired by Muddy Waters and Elmore James. George Thorogood and the Destroyers (1977) and other early albums showed off his rough, aggressive approach and made him a rising star in American blues-rock music.

Move It On Over (1978) and "Bad to the Bone" (1982) were two of Thorogood's biggest hits. His reputation grew thanks to tours in the U.S. and Europe and performances at major festivals. He got a lot of Gold and Platinum albums because he was often on the charts. His work with Eric Clapton and B.B. King showed how important he was to blues-rock, and his live shows were famous for their guitar-driven performances.

George Thorogood is still on tour across the world, singing songs that fans love, such "I Drink Alone" and "Rockin' My Life Away." His gigs are full of energy and real blues, which has thrilled fans of all ages for years.
