Dodie, whose full name is Dorothy Miranda Clark, was born in Epping, England, in 1995. She grew up posting original songs on YouTube. She learned to play the violin and piano at a young age because of Ingrid Michaelson and Regina Spektor. Her first EP, Intertwined (2016), had personal lyrics and soft melodies. It went viral and gained a loyal online following before she signed with a major indie label.
Build a Problem (2021), her first full-length album, hit number 3 on the UK Independent Albums Chart. Dodie toured Europe and North America a lot, playing more than 120 shows by 2022. BBC Radio 1 played songs like "Sick of Losing Soulmates" and "Would You Be So Kind." At the AIM Awards in 2021, she won Best Independent Artist.
There are eight new songs on Dodie's 2025 EP, You. Live shows focus on closeness, telling stories, and having the audience sing along. Fans love acoustic breaks and honest moments on stage. Get your dodie tickets on Yadara right now to see her indie-pop show in person.
