Buzzcocks were one of the first UK punk bands. They started in Bolton, England, in 1976.  Pete Shelley and Howard Devoto started the band, and they rapidly became known for their DIY attitude and melodic style of punk music.  Their first EP, Spiral Scratch (1977), was a big deal in the world of independent music and had an impact on many punk and indie bands that came after it.

"Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)" was one among the hits on Buzzcocks' late-1970s albums Another Music in a Different Kitchen and Love Bites.  They stand out from their colleagues because they have a mix of fast-paced energy and catchy melodies.  They broke up in 1981 but got back together in the late 1980s, going on tour across the world and putting out new music.  Because of their impact, they will always be known as punk icons.
