The American R&B quartet Jodeci is made up of DeVanté Swing, Mr. Dalvin, K-Ci, and JoJo. The group was most popular in the early- to mid-1990s and is best known for their hit single "Forever My Lady", which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1992.
Jodeci's debut album, Forever My Lady, was released in 1991 and contained the singles "Come and Talk to Me" and "Forever My Lady", both of which reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The group's second album, Diary of a Mad Band, was released in 1993 and contained the singles "Feenin'", "Cry for You", and "Love U 4 Life". The album was certified platinum by the RIAA.
In 1996, Jodeci released their third album, The Show, the After Party, the Hotel, which contained the singles "Get on Up", "Whatever You Want", and "Freek'n You". The album was certified gold by the RIAA.
Jodeci's fourth and final album, Back to the Future: The Very Best of Jodeci, was released in 2014 and contained the single "Nobody Wins". The album was certified gold by the RIAA.
Jodeci has sold more than 10 million records worldwide.
K-Ci and JoJo – formerly known as Little Cedric & the Hailey Singers – were born and raised in extremely religious Pentecostal families, where they initially performed and recorded as a gospel group. They released three albums: Jesus Saves, I'm Alright Now, and God's Blessings.
DeVanté Swing, Mr. Dalvin, and K-Ci met while DeVanté was producing tracks for Al B. Sure!'s debut album In Effect Mode (1988). They later signed with Uptown Records, where they began working with record producer Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs.
