Michael Minelli was born in 1990 in San Francisco and grew up listening to jazz and folk music. He learned to play the guitar and piano when he was 8 years old and later went to Berklee College of Music to study composition. Minelli started recording music on his own in 2012, inspired by movie soundtracks and classic rock.
