The Pogue Traders, who formed in Dublin in 2009, combine traditional Irish folk music with punk energy. Sean O'Malley and Fiona Byrne, the founders, grew up with Irish music and storytelling. Early EPs like Shamrock Riot gained traction in local bars and online, building a reputation for energetic performances that pay homage to folk traditions while embracing a modern, punk-fueled sound.

The band's debut album, Emerald Chaos (2012), peaked at the top of the Irish indie charts. They played at the Electric Picnic Festival and toured the UK and Europe. Singles like "River Rebellion" and "Whiskey Nights" received radio play on RTE and BBC Radio. The Pogue Traders rose to prominence in the folk-punk movement thanks to their high-energy performance persona.

They are currently touring Ireland and Europe, performing hits such as "River Rebellion" and new music from Lively Spirits (2023). Their performances include crowd sing-alongs and upbeat instrumentals. Get your The Pogue Traders tickets from Yadara today and enjoy a colorful, unique folk-punk experience in a live atmosphere.
