Hardcore's Relentless Architects

Keith Morris and Greg Hetson started Circle Jerks in 1979. They helped shape the hardcore punk style in Southern California. Their first album, Group Sex, included 14 songs in 15 minutes, which set the standard for pace, aggressiveness, and a sarcastic edge. They became cult heroes with albums like Wild in the Streets and Golden Shower of Hits, which inspired generations of punk bands while staying true to their cause.

Too Sweat, Chaos, and Speed

Live, Circle Jerks play a set that is pure kinetic release: the guitars grind, the drums shoot like cannons, and Morris's fast vocals pierce through the noise. There isn't much lighting, and it serves a purpose. The music and the movement are the main things. The band plays songs without wasting any time on stage, as people slam, surf, and spin in the pit. The mood is both unstable and exciting, like a group of punks getting together.

The Unfiltered Punk Connection

At a Circle Jerks event, everyone feels the same way, and the border between performer and audience disappears in the sound and action. During each set, the crowd yells and the band responds with chords and sweat. Fans can enter a place through Yadara where the raw, unfiltered essence of punk is alive and well, unaffected by time or fashion.
