Hooverphonic started out as an electronic trip-hop trio in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, in 1995. They later became a full band. Massive Attack and Portishead were early influences that helped shape their cinematic sound. Alex Callier and Geike Arnaert, two of the original members, brought a lot of musical talent to the group. They combined electronic programming with symphonic arrangements. The band changed their style throughout the years, but their characteristic ambient soundscapes stayed the same.

Hooverphonic's first album, A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular, was out in 1996. After that, they had albums that made the charts, such as Blue Wonder Power Milk (1998) and The Magnificent Tree (2000). More than 50 million people around the world have streamed hits including "Mad About You" and "Eden." The band has played at big European festivals like Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop and has been nominated for several ZAMU and MTV Europe Music Awards.

Hooverphonic is still on tour today with a group of six core musicians. They play 15 to 20 songs per set, mixing old favorites with new ones. The venues range from theaters with 1,500 seats to festival stages with 10,000 seats. They generally have synchronized graphics and orchestral music. Each show lasts 90 to 120 minutes and gives viewers a fully immersive movie experience. Get your Hooverphonic tickets on Yadara to see their amazing live act.
