Gary Daly (vocals) and Eddie Lundon (guitar) are the leaders of the British new wave band China Crisis, which started in Liverpool in 1979. They were influenced by synthpop, post-punk, and art rock. Their first singles, "African and White" and "Scream Down at Me," came out before their first album, Difficult Shapes & Passive Rhythms, Some People Think It's Fun to Entertain (1982). Their melodic synths, thoughtful lyrics, and Daly's smooth voice made them popular in the UK and Europe right away.

Their 1984 album Working with Fire and Steel – Possible Pop Songs Volume Two had hits like "Wishful Thinking" and "Hanna Hanna," which made it to the UK charts. They went on a long tour, playing at famous venues and festivals and working with producers like Mike Howlett. Their next albums, like Flaunt the Imperfection (1985), helped them stay in the new wave scene and got them noticed around the world.

China Crisis is still playing live shows and delighting fans with classic songs like "Christian" and "King in a Catholic Style." Their shows mix nostalgic synthesizers, vocal harmonies, and close interaction with the audience. Get your China Crisis tickets on Yadara now to experience classic new wave live.
