Dopethrone is a Canadian doom metal band that started in Montreal in 2005. They are known for their heavy riffs, distorted tones, and sludge-heavy sound. The band members have been influenced by Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard, and early stoner and doom metal bands. The band has worked on their raw, aggressive live sound over the years, which includes guitars with fuzz, drums that sound like thunder, and growled vocals. Dopethrone became one of Canada's most well-known doom metal bands thanks to early albums like Hag Me Forever, which gained a following in the underground scene. Fans loved both the recordings and the intense, immersive live shows.

Dopethrone has put out a lot of full-length albums and played a lot of shows in North America and Europe, including at metal festivals like Hellfest and Maryland Doom Fest and in local clubs. Most shows have 10 to 12 songs in each set, mixing older cult hits with new songs. Metal Injection and Decibel Magazine have praised their albums for being consistent, heavy, and true to the DIY spirit. The number of people at each show ranges from 300 to 1,500, and sold-out shows in Europe are big events for the band's growing international fan base.

Dopethrone concerts last 75 to 90 minutes, and the songs are usually longer than 7 to 10 minutes because of long solos and parts that are based on feedback. Fans hear loud music over 110 dB, see fog machines, and experience immersive lighting effects. Depending on the venue, attendance can be between 400 and 1,500 people, which makes for intimate but intense concert settings. Fans can buy Dopethrone tickets on Yadara. These shows feature crushing doom metal performances, high-energy crowd interaction, and an immersive auditory experience that captures the band's signature sludge and stoner metal soundscapes.
