He is best known as the founder and leader of Postmodern Jukebox, a band that covers contemporary pop hits in the style of various vintage genres including swing, jazz, ragtime, and blues. Bradlee was born in New Jersey and began playing piano at the age of four. He went on to study jazz performance at the University of Hartford's Hartt School, where he graduated with honors in 2002. In 2009, Bradlee launched Postmodern Jukebox as a solo project, releasing videos of himself and various collaborators performing covers of contemporary pop hits in the style of various vintage genres including swing, jazz, ragtime, and blues. The project quickly gained popularity, amassing a following of millions of fans across social media platforms. In 2012, Bradlee formed a band consisting of a revolving lineup of musicians to tour internationally in support of Postmodern Jukebox's growing success.
