Jaill started in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2002. They mix garage punk intensity with indie rock. Vincent Kircher and Austin Dutmer, the band's founders, were inspired by The Replacements and Pavement to make a fun, lo-fi sound. They changed their name from Jail to Jail in 2007.
