Unwound, which started in Olympia, Washington in 1991, became a major player in the post-hardcore music scene. Justin Trosper, Vern Rumsey, and Sara Lund made experimental music with a lot of energy. Their early albums, like Fake Train (1993), showed off their raw, creative style, which quickly gained them a loyal underground following and praise from critics for pushing the limits of indie rock.
Unwound put out seven studio albums, including New Plastic Ideas (1994) and Leaves Turn Inside You (2001), which were praised for their complicated arrangements. Their reputation grew thanks to tours in North America and Europe and performances at All Tomorrow's Parties. Their work with Fugazi and Sonic Youth showed how important they were in the post-hardcore and experimental rock scenes, and their legacy is still celebrated today.
Unwound broke up in 2002, but they got back together for a few live shows, where they played their signature noise-driven, emotionally charged songs. Fans can feel the power of classic hits like "Corpse Pose" live. Get your Unwound Tickets on Yadara now to witness the raw energy and artistry of one of indie rock’s most influential bands.
