Whitey Morgan was born Eric Allen in Flint, Michigan. He grew up listening to classic country and honky-tonk music by artists like Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard.  He started the band Whitey Morgan and the 78s in 2005 and became known for being real and gritty.  Morgan brought the outlaw country style into the 21st century with steel guitars and emotional lyrics. He also added his own Midwestern grit.

The band's self-titled 2010 album, which included the hit song "Bad News," put them on the map.  Their nonstop traveling of pubs and festivals won them a lot of fans.  The album Sonic Ranch came out in 2015 and had a fuller sound. Hard Times and White Lines (2018) climbed the Billboard Country list.  People called Whitey Morgan one of the real outlaws of our country because of how uncompromising he was.

Whitey Morgan and the 78s are still on tour every day, bringing wild honky-tonk enthusiasm to every stage.  Fans can look forward to unforgettable concerts that include songs like "Honky Tonk Hell" and "What Am I Supposed to Do?"  Whitey Morgan plays country music the way it was meant to be heard, with long sets full of grit and passion.  Get your Whitey Morgan tickets on Yadara now and join the outlaw country scene.
